Artist Statement- My songs – my compositions – are momentary melodies that I capture during my day-to-day life. Whether I am sitting at a stop light, walking through the grocery store or even serving on jury duty, I hear melodies and I sing them into my iPhone. My iPhone is where I capture the moment.  My piano is where I compose those captured moments into my songs.

My public performances are then part story, part song, with the hopeful intention that the audience will experience something more than music; that they would experience the moment, too. When the mind let’s go to a beautiful melody, the imagination can take the heart on an endless journey toward the good.

Music can change the world. It changes mine with every moment. –Al Sergel
